French Toast with Honey Drizzle

This classic French toast is soft on the inside and lightly golden on the outside. Cooked gently on a non stick pan, it makes a warm and comforting breakfast, finished with a simple drizzle of honey.

Ingredients

  • Bread slices – 4 slices

  • Eggs – 2

  • Milk – 120 ml

  • Honey – 2 tbsp (plus a little extra for topping)

  • Butter or cooking oil – 1 tbsp

  • Cinnamon – 1/2 tsp (optional)

  • Salt – a pinch

Method

  1. In a bowl, mix eggs, milk, a pinch of salt, and cinnamon if using.

  2. Dip each bread slice into the mixture, coating both sides well.

  3. Heat a non stick pan over low to medium heat and add butter or oil.

  4. Place the soaked bread in the pan and cook until golden on one side.

  5. Flip and cook the other side until soft and lightly golden.

  6. Place on a plate and drizzle with honey before serving.
