Bottom line - good quality pans, though does seemed priced a little high. Also, all pieces feature the hybrid ceramic coating. Ordered this set to suppliment my current set, as I had to get rid of most of my pots and pans after getting an induction range duebto compatability issues. This set comes with all sizes an average person would need. They are good quality, have a good weight and feature an ergonomic handle. The glass lids fit well and feature a steam vent hole - and are completely flat - not curved like typical glass lids. One huge plus in my book is the non-stick surface - it is not teflon/generic PFAS surface...it is ceramic. With everything you read about chemical non stick surfaces (PFOA, PFAS, PTFE), this is an absolute must in my book. Now, the most important aspect - how do they work. First test, compatibility with induction - built-in test shows 100% compatible. These pots and pans heat up quickly and evenly on a setting of 5 (out of 9). The hybrid nonstick surface is excellent, making both cooking and cleanup extremely easy. Cooking an egg with maybe a 1/2 tsp of avocado oil allowed the scrambled eggs to easily slide around the surface. If you've never used a hybrid surface before, it features the best of both worlds...non stick performance but the metal raised pattern allow you to brown/sear your foods and also makes the surface more durable by helping to protect the nonstick surface from scratching.
One thing to note (and I didn’t notice when ordering) is that it is not just the skillets that have the hybrid nonstick surface - even the pots (1qt - 5 qt) have the hybrid nonstick bottom along with inch or so of sidewall. The product photos show that the skillets have an obvious dark nonstick coating on them, but the pots appear completely silver with only a slight texture (I've attached a screenshot for reference). However, the cooking surface is the same for all items in this set. Product description didn’t explicity state whether all items or only some featured the coating - just that the non-stick was ceramic, so I went by the photos. Personally, I would have preferred having nonstick on only my skillets and have pots all stainless so that I never have to worry about scratching/ruining the nonstick surface. So concern with this set is longevity. Traditionally, my ceramic skillets last 4-5 years. If this is the case with ceramic coating as well, it'll be a lot of money for a set that has a limited life (vs all stainless pots that last a lifetime). Overall, I am happy with this set, but longevity is a major concern on something that costs this much. My old stainless set was 25 years old, but unfortunately was not induction compatible...thus the need for a new set.
